It is time to paint our house and we are planning a BIG change in color. We have driven around many neighborhoods to get ideas and agreed on painting the house brown with white trim, black shutters and a red door. The pictures below are the inspiration. The first picture is from Better Home and Garden
The house below is several blocks from our house. I had to go knock on their door and ask them the paint colors. They are from Dunn Edwards and the brown is a special order mix.
Our house has been the same color for twenty years so we are nervous about this change. As you can see in the picture below, we are making a drastic change.
Our house is currently being prepared for the paint as you might notice in the picture. The reveal will come next weekend.

The owner of that house in my neighborhood gave me a sample of the brown paint. He just painted some onto a white piece of paper and then Dunn Edwards was able to match it for me. I could do the same for you if you like. Let me know and then I will get your address.

Didn’t realize I posted twice until now – sorry. Marie, thanks again for sending the sample of the color. We’re very excited to get our house painted, although the roof will be put on first in just a few weeks. We’ll take some before and after photos and send them to you once it’s done.

We are finally getting this paint job done beginning tomorrow. I’ll post pics and Ed, I’m going to home depot now to buy the paint for the painters. I’ll send you the mix since we’ve had it color matched already. The brand we’re using is Behr.
