Family Room and Entryway – Painted
We painted the Family room and entry. The yellow is gone and it is now a nice shade of light brown – Stone House by Benjamin Moore. I also changed up a few decorations.
The little shelf in my entry was dark green and I painted it white to fit in with the colors better. My dog Charlie is in one of his favorite spots.
The mantle has a new look and a new mirror. 
The sign I made says, “All you need is Love is all you need” which is true. It seems appropriate to have the picture of Lindsay and Ryan above this sign.

White Bedding
It seems like I’ve been looking for new bedding for over a year and I keep changing my mind. My Bedroom Pinterest Board is full of beautiful bedrooms. I now realize that all of my favorites are white with a splash of color. Some very nice and inspirational ideas are from the Blogs below:
So I decided my bedding should be white with a splash of green. The bedding I got is a white duvet and Euro Shams from Macy’s – Charter Club. The green throw is Tahari from TJ Max and it is very very soft. The other pillows are also from TJ Maxx.

Dining Room Table Decor
Today I decided to spruce up my dining room table.
Once again there have been so many nice and smart ideas out there. I added a useful container for napkins and some cute little bird salt and pepper shakers. I also decided to throw a smaller size table cloth on so that the wood table is exposed.

Christmas Giving
I am so inspired by a story I just read on Kasey Buick blog. I really like her idea. She went to her local Kmart and paid off the lay away bill for 5 families who were buying toys for their kids for Christmas. Her kindness really touched me. So many people in our country are in need and if we all do a little something it will add up to a lot.

There is a very nice Christmas home tour on Jennifer Rizzo’s Blog where I found an idea for my cabinet at the cabin. It comes from City Farm Girl. I really love everything she did in her beautiful home. I used her idea on the bottom shelf of my cabinet. You can see her idea on my Pinterest board.
